Cold Point Corporation and Adirondack Aire
Cold Point Corporation was established in 1999 as a privately owned company to manufacture replacement and niche market heat pumps and air conditioners. The leadership team recognized an un-met market need for replacement water source heat pump units. Late in 1999, the first big sales opportunity allowed for the launch of full-scale production. After meetings with the customer, and delivery of several sample units, an official order was issued. During late 1999 and early 2000, these units were produced and shipped.
This launch allowed Cold Point Corporation to establish relationships with key suppliers and sales representatives, and quickly become a mainstream replacement manufacturer. Steady growth through hard work and dedication to quality lead to the construction of their first large scale production facility in 2003. In 2004, Cold Point had the honor of working with the United States Marine Corp to provide over 200 air conditioning units for our troops overseas.
The growing team and expanding product offerings lead Cold Point to become a leader in the replacement WSHP and PTAC markets. So much so, that other industry leaders began to take notice. In 2017, The Whalen Company of Easton Maryland acquired ownership of Cold Point. New relationships were formed, and together with the Whalen Company, Cold Point expanded its core business and grew its representative organization across the US and Canada.
In March of 2021, Cold Point moved into its newly built 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility on Henry Street in Rome, NY. The team of top-tier engineers take on new custom projects to meet customers' needs, while ensuring that all current products meet the highest levels of quality and efficiency. The seasoned manufacturing team takes pride in every unit they build, while constantly improving and updating their skills. The inside sales team and sales engineers work closely with representatives around the country and Canada to ensure the highest quality service before, during and after the sale. As the team grows, the family-oriented core values always remain the same. Quality and peace of mind are at the core of every product sold.
