RETURN & CANCELLATION POLICY

Cold Point Corporation warrants to the purchase/owner, that all products will be free from defects in material and workmanship under the normal use and maintenance.

At Cold Point Corporation, each order is custom manufactured to meet our clients’ unique specifications. As such, returns and cancellations impact production scheduling, raw material procurement, and labor planning. To maintain efficiency and fairness, we have adopted the following order change, cancellation and return policies:

 

  1. Order Cancellation Eligibility

Customers are eligible to cancel an order, without penalty, under the following conditions:

  • The cancellation request is made, in writing, 5 weeks prior to the acknowledged ship date and no custom enclosures are on the order.

Customers are eligible to cancel an order, with a penalty, under the following conditions:

  • If a cancellation request is made, in writing, less than 5 weeks prior to the acknowledged ship date, and the order is not in production, there will be a materials fee of 25% billed to the customer.
  1. Non-Cancellable Orders

The following orders cannot be cancelled:

  • If the order has been released to production (10 days prior to acknowledged ship date);
  • Custom enclosures 6 weeks prior to the acknowledged ship date.
  1. Changes to Orders

If you need to make changes to your order (e.g., updating shipping details, model change, or changing quantities), please contact us:

  • 4 weeks prior to the acknowledged ship date to make changes to quantities or models the fees will be associated with the change.
  • Less than 4 weeks prior to the acknowledged ship date and not released to production, in addition to the fee associated with the change there will be a $75.00 change fee applied to the order.
  • If the order has been released to production, in addition to the fee associated with the change, there will be a $150.00 change fee applied to the order. Please note this may affect the ship date.
  • 1 week prior to the acknowledged ship date to make changes to the shipping details.
  1. Returns

Customers may be eligible to return parts and/or a unit under the following conditions:

  • Prior authorization must be obtained from Customer Service including an RMA number.
  • Parts must be returned 7 days from receipt.
  • Parts must be new and unused.
  • A restocking fee of 25% will be applied to all parts that are returned.
  • A restocking fee of 50% will be applied to all units that are returned.
  • The customer is responsible for all return freight charges, if freight damage occurs credit will not be applied.
